Map Out Your Next Visit Through Mountaineer Country
Planning the perfect getaway in Mountaineer Country is easy and fun with our new Trip Planner App, an interactive mobile app to map everything you want to see and do during your visit!
First, download the app to your mobile device! This saves your plan. If you don’t download the app now, you’ll be prompted to sign up for an account after making three selections for your itinerary.

Use the VMCCVB Trip Planner App, available for free in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Browse the area’s local hotels, gear shops, restaurants and scenic overlooks to create your perfect wilderness excursion.

You can easily plan your visit, save destinations to your itineraries, or try one of our challenges or pre-made itineraries in the app. Just Click the Visit Mountaineer Country Planner app icon to get started, it’s in the lower right corner of every page!

Select from the categories menu along the top, left side.
CATEGORIES MENU:
Day Trips, Events, Play, Stay, Eat, Deals, Challenges and Shop.
You will use “My Plan” later.
Review the menu on the right to refine your search, or view all of the selections for the category.
YOUR SELECTIONS:
The selections will all appear as “pins” on the map. You can hover your curser over a pin for location names or scroll through the block images on the left.
You can easily add a selection to your itinerary.
Click on the map pin and the name and address will appear in a pop-up card.
Click the card to learn more about the location or Click the “Add+” in the card to add to your plan.
- If you can’t find a selection, simply use the search bar at the top left.
- You can even add a starting location, like your home or the airport.
- See an event you don’t want to miss? Click “Add+” and the event will be placed in your plan.
TIP: Allow Mountaineer Country to access your location so you can see what’s around and get notified about nearby attractions, even when the app is in the background.
Ready to view your itinerary? Click “My Plan” in the upper left.
The “MY PLAN” tab will give you the number of stops and time it takes to complete your selections.
Click the card to learn more about the location or Click the “Add+” in the card to add to your plan.
- Change the order of your itinerary by moving the blocks up or down
- Share your plan with friends
TIP: Once you’ve downloaded the app, you can access your plan without the Internet – your entire trip is in the palm of your hand!
Are there any pre-established itineraries I can access?
Click the “Day Trips” icon for pre-planned itineraries. Once added to “My Trip,” you can add stops, delete stops, or change the order of the stops.
How do I know if a business is open?
You can click on a pin or on a block listing to access the business website.
How do I share my itinerary with others?
Once you create a plan, click on “My Plan” and click the “Share” button.
I don’t see a pin on the map for the listing I selected.
You might have to make the map smaller (zoom out) to display a bigger area in the viewport.
