Harvest Hoedown 

Get in the fall spirit with live music and square dancing! Arthurdale Heritage museum is hosting a free Harvest Hoedown from 7-9 p.m on October 19. If dancing isn’t your thing, guests can still enjoy live music from the band Half Past Four and sip on light refreshments. Looking to improve your moves? Swing by earlier at 6 p.m. for a partner dancing workshop!

Fall Festival and Craft Show

Join us for the Arthurdale Heritage Fall Festival and Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine! Support local artisans and enjoy a variety of crafters, food trucks, hay rides, yard games and more. 

Stick around for the Harvest Hoedown from 7-9 p.m.! Participate in a square dance and an instructional workshop starting at 6 p.m. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Join Chestnut Ridge Church on Thursday, October 24, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. for Candy Quest in Morgantown! Wear your favorite family-friendly costumes and enjoy a fun-filled adventure collecting candy around the church. This free event requires no registration, but parents and guardians must stay with their children during the festivities.

Spooky Dry Dance Part

Looking for a fun, spooky and alcohol-free night? Get ready to dance with old friends, new friends, and some fun (nonalcoholic) spirits! For just $5 at the door, you can join a judgment-free, welcoming dance party featuring a Halloween playlist curated by Dance Dance Party Party Morgantown. This event is recommended for ages 14 and up. Special thanks to Morgantown Art Party for co-hosting!

Stop by Antiquitea House for a special, free viewing of Little Shop of Horrors. The 1960 film focuses on a young florist who learns that his beloved plant can only thrive on blood. To nurture it, he turns into a killer. This American horror comedy has become a cult classic. Bring your own chair or blanket, and enjoy our popcorn and drink special!

Calling all ghouls to an adult-only costume party and contest at the Highgate Carriage House in Fairmont! Grainville Halloween Festival 

Celebrate Halloween in Granville at their exciting Halloween Festival! Bring your family for an evening of music, spooky haunted houses, festive cookie decorating  and more. Everyone is welcome to dress up and join in the festivities. Trick-or-treating is for children 12 and under, so put on your best costume and embrace the Halloween spirit!

Howl-O-Ween Doggie Trick or Treat

Bring your pup to WV Botanic Gardens for Dog Trick or Treat night! Vendors will be along the Reservoir Loop Trail handing out tasty dog treats. There will be contests and prizes for the best-dressed pooch, so be sure to bring something to collect the goodies. All dogs must be kept on a leash, well behaved, and registered!

Kid’s Halloween Art Class

Join Arthurdale Heritage for a Kid’s Halloween Art Class! Led by instructor Kendyl Bostic, students will embark on a fun-themed art project perfect for ages 6-12. The class costs $15 per student and includes all art supplies, with snacks provided. The class begins at 6 p.m., and don’t forget to wear your Halloween costumes!
