The McGrew Society is hosting a special program on Sunday, May 17, at 1:00 pm, featuring its collection of McGrew-Hagans family artifacts. Some have come from direct descendants of James and Persis Hagans McGrew; others have come from community members who recognized the McGrew name and delivered the item to the House for continued safekeeping.
The program will start in Mr. McGrew’s library, where most of the memorabilia is displayed. Then, guests will receive a newly printed “Walking Tour Guide” to follow as they explore other rooms and displays, such as the Antique Clothing Room, Dr. Kotchek’s Veterinary Museum, and the McGrew Homestead Room.
The program is free to the public and will end with light refreshments.
