CONTEST RULES
1. Contestants must be 16+ (born on or before
August 28, 2010) to enter; identification
may be required.
2. Contestant must not be considered a
professional musician as a primary source of income or have had a recording
contract.
3. The $10.00 registration fee must be paid
before competing each night a contestant enters.
4. Contestants may enter more than once, but
only once each Friday. Payment is due with each night of registration. A new
form is required each time.
5. Two songs will be selected at registration
and documented by the organizer. Music selections are final once documented.
6. Each contestant will sing two songs and
perform at the time selected by the organizer.
7. Solo performances only. Duos/groups do not
qualify. Instruments are not permitted. No substitutions.
8. Contestants will receive a Number Bib which
must be worn during all performances. Lost bibs will result in
disqualification. A photo will be taken of you with your number at check-in..
9. Songs must be in English, have G-rated
lyrics, be under 4 minutes, and may be any genre.
10.Performance order will be
randomly selected by the organizer.
11.Failure to arrive by 6:30 pm
for the Finale on September 25 will result in disqualification.
12. Judges’ rulings are final.
13.Total prize purse is $1,000,
with 1st: $750; 2nd: $200; 3rd: $50 places.
